A married teacher has been jailed for 30 months after having sex with two teenage pupils at drink-fuelled parties.
Mum-of-three
Jennifer Philp-Parsons, 45, groomed the two 16-year-old pupils and
plied them with alcohol after inviting them to parties at her house,
Exeter crown Court heard.
Mrs Philp-Parsons then had sex with one
of the boys while her husband Jake slept upstairs, reports the Daily
Mail. On another occasion she was found to have had sex with both boys
within the space of an hour when her husband was away.
She was
arrested at a Devon school after being reported by a member of the
public and later admitted three charges of sexual activity.
However, her husband supported her at her sentencing hearing and even wrote a letter of support.
Judge
Francis Gilbert QC called her a ‘sordid adultress’, and said: “The
details reveal very serious offences involving you seducing two of the
students in your school in your own home for your own sexual
gratification.
“You have left a trail of destruction and significant distress for a number of people.”
Defence
lawyer Richard Crabb said: “Something like this does not happen
overnight, on a whim. Not after 18 years of marriage, three children and
10 years as a teacher.
“She was experiencing difficulties in her marriage, she felt lonely and isolated at home.
“She crossed the line and she acknowledges that now.”
