Boko Haram sacks entire Army Battalion, loots all ammunitions

The terrorists arrived suddenly at 4:00 p.m. that ill-fated Wednesday, November 5, catching the Nigerian soldiers and their commanders off-guard. As they invaded the headquarters of the 174 Battalion, Abadan Local Government Area of Borno State, located close to the Nigerian border with Niger, the Boko Haram insurgents, in hundreds, began to shoot sporadically in all directions.

According to witnesses, the terrorists were led into the battalion headquarters by insurgents bearing a number of Rocket Propelled Grenades (a shoulder-launched anti-tank weapon) and machine guns mounted on Hilux vans. Other insurgents, bearing AK-47 rifles, followed behind, shooting and chanting “Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar”

Boko Haram: 13,000 Nigerians take refuge in Cameroon- UN report

According to a report released yesterday November 11th by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), 13,000 Nigerians fled from Nigeria to Cameroon in October after the attack and capture of Mubi town in Adamawa state by Boko Haram members.

According to the report, which you can find here, some 13,000 Nigerian refugees mostly women and children, fled Mubi town in over 300 vehicles and settled in towns of Guider and Gashiga in the North region of Cameroun and to Bourha, Mogode and Boukoula in the Far North of Cameroon.

Boko Haram invades Kogi prison, frees 143

The police and the Army have launched a manhunt for inmates of the Koton-Karfi Prison in Kogi State, who were set free by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents.
There were about 145 inmates in the 80-year-old prison as of 10pm on Sunday when the gunmen gained entry into the prison   by blowing up its iron bars with an improvised explosive device.
A male prison officer and an inmate were injured while another inmate   was   found dead after the attackers left.

Gallant Soldiers Bomb and Kill over 400 Boko Haram Terrorists

Nigerian soldiers are stepping up their game in the fight against Boko Haram. As you read this, over 400 men of the dreaded Boko Haram sect may have been killed in a shoot out with the Nigerian military in parts of troubled North East, particularly in Borno state.

A source, who is a member of the Civilian JTF, disclosed that the insurgents were repelled back from both Ngamdu, 100 kilometres from Maiduguri on the Maiduguri-Damaturu road and Konduga, just about 40 kilometres on the Maiduguri-Bama road.

I’m Facing Hard Times ––TB Joshua Opens Up

Founder of Synagogue Church, Prophet TB Joshua, says he has been facing hard times since the collapse of his church guesthouse in Lagos. He has, however, said that he would survive the trying times.

A six-storey guesthouse belonging to the church collapsed last Friday, and as at the last count, about 80 persons have been confirmed dead with over 140 rescued alive.

Military fires GOC attacked by convicted soldiers

Military authorities have retired the former General Officer Commanding the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, Maiduguri, Maj. Gen. Abubakar Mohammed.
Investigations by The PUNCH   revealed this on Tuesday just as the Nigeria Labour Congress, the Trade Union Congress and   human rights lawyers pleaded for the pardon of 12 soldiers who were sentenced to death by a military court on Monday.
The soldiers, who had on May 14, 2014 fired shots at Mohammed, in Maiduguri, were convicted for mutiny and other offences such as insubordination .

TB Joshua confirms that Boko Haram Attacked Church building

The founder and General overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T. B. Joshua has said that Boko Haram may be responsible for the collapse of a six-storey building in the church premises.

Joshua, who told members of his church on Sunday not to be afraid, said the attack was targeted at him and not at them. The prophet made it clear that the collapse of the six-storey building at around 11.45am on Friday which led to the death of no fewer than 16 persons was a Boko Haram attack.

Fear of Mutiny in Nigerian Military: 4 Senior Officers Quizzed

Indications emerged on Wednesday that the military high command had started taking "decisive" steps against security personnel involved in acts inimical to the military tradition.

It was gathered on Wednesday that four army officers were arrested for allegedly encouraging some of the soldiers, who disobeyed a directive on posting to Bama, one of the areas where Nigerian troops are in serious fight with the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists.

BIG SHAME: Confusion Over Capture of 480 Nigerian Soldiers

Did 480 Nigerian soldiers escape to Cameroon to avoid fighting Boko Haram? A Cameroonian official said they did. But Nigerian military is denying it, saying the soldiers were involved in a “tactical manoeuvre”.

The matter remained unclear yet as the Defence Headquarters insisted that there was no defection. The BBC had reported that 480 Nigerian soldiers were in Cameroon, following their refusal to fight the insurgents.
