Viva, it would seem, really isn’t forever.
Victoria Beckham
has finally put an end to speculation that the Spice Girls will reunite
to celebrate their 20th Anniversary this year, admitting she ‘won’t
ever do it again’.
The 39-year-old fashion designer made the
revelation in an interview with Vanity Fair Italy and Spain that her
days of being Posh spice are well and truly behind her.
She told the mag: “I won’t ever do it again.
“Doing the Olympics was an incredible honour. I was so proud to do it; proud to be British…
“That
was a perfect time to say, ‘That’s great. Thank you to everybody, but
no more.’ Sometimes you’ve got to know when it’s time to leave the
party.”
She may be vetoing a reunion with the band that launched
her into the spotlight, but it seems that their iconic message of Girl
Power still sticks with her in her vastly successful fashion career.
She added: “The Spice Girls were successful because we celebrated women. That's why I do what I do today.”
VB’s
words will likely not go down too well with former bandmate Mel B who
revealed last year that she was pushing for a reunion to celebrate 20
years of spicing up people’s lives.
Of a reunion, Mel said: "I don't know. Maybe. It depends on what it is and when it is.
