The Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Youth Service Corps
(NYSC), Chief Gordon Bozimo, has commended former military Head of
State, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), for adopting a
statesmanly and
patriotic stance against the recent terrorists activities in Nigeria.
Bozimo, in a statement issued Friday, said Buhari’s comments have
proven that the fight against terrorism needs all hands on deck,
irrespective of political, ethnic and religious affiliations. He
described Buhari's comments as 'refreshing' in a season where some have
chosen the path of making provocative and violence inducing statements
against the government.
He added that Buhari's stance is particularly commendable as the NYSC
and its operations have been severely affected by the activities of the
terrorists and violence in parts of the country, where after the post
election crises of 2011, Nigerians lobby against service in the North.
