Poor China - they were  deprived of the hunk that is Brad Pitt after their government banned him from entering the country for his role in 7 Years In Tibet.
Brad played Heinrich Harrer, an Austrian mountain climber who became friends with the Dalai Lama at the time of China's takeover of Tibet.
Unfortunately, the Chinese government were not impressed with the 1997 flick and banned the hot actor from the country.

Socialite Paris Hilton got all the way to Japan before being told she was banned from the country after admitting to drug offences in the US.

Japanese immigration officials in Tokyo refused the bend the rules for Paris in 2010 after she pleaded guilty just days before to cocaine possession in Vegas.

The R&B singer was told he couldn't enter the UK
Rapper Chris Brown was forced to postpone his UK tour after Home Office bods took offence to him attacking girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown was refused permission on the grounds of being guilty of a serious criminal offence, the Home Office said in 2010.
He was sentenced to a community service order for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, singer Rihanna.
Brown was due to play three UK concerts, starting in Glasgow, but Sony bosses decided to delay the concerts after "work visa problems".
Rihanna's ex took to Twitter at the time to moan about his treatment by UK border agency officials - he later deleted the tweets.
Passport problems
In 2013 Russell Brand was denied entry to South Africa because he didn't have two free pages in his passport.
Eloquent Brand, who was heading to Johannesburg with his Messiah Complex tour, live tweeted his ban at the time, complete with pictures of himself at a UK airport.
"Tonight's J-burg show cancelled. SA authorities REFUSE TO LET ME INTO YOUR COUNTRY. Trying to resolve it," Brand fumed.
But it was all a bit of a storm in a tea cup as just a few days later the philosophising comic was allowed in.
"South Africa! I'm allowed in! AUTHORITY YIELDED TO YOUR PEOPLE POWER! I'll be on stage tomorrow night in J-Burg #MessiahComplex," he happily wrote.

The lifestyle guru was denied permission to enter the UK because of her 2004 conviction for obstructing justice.
“Martha loves England; the country and English culture are near and dear to her heart,” said Charles Koppelman, chairman of Martha Stewart Living.
“She has engagements with English companies and business leaders and hopes this can be resolved so that she will be able to visit soon.”

Snoop - real name Calvin Broadus - was denied entry to the UK in 2007 after being cautioned a year before after being arrested at Heathrow Airport. Turns out after Snoog's entourage, who were flying economy, were refused entry to the first class lounge they decided to vandalise a duty free shop.
In a legal wrangle that went on for a few years, Mr Dog's ban was lifted, then reinforced then lifted again to allow him entry into the UK in 2010.
But Snoop - his travel plans are seriously scuppered after a few more countries decided to put the naughty rapper on their banned list.
Australia's Department of Immigration and Citizenship chastised Snoop's in 2007 preventing him from co-hosting the MTV Australia Video Music Awards. They eventually changed their minds too - allowed the Dog to enter Oz two years later.
Then the Netherlands barred Snoop's entry in June 2010.

She paddled out on a surfboard with other activists from Australia and the United States, to prevent a pod of dolphins being driven into a cove and slaughtered.

The Heroes actress emerged from the water and collapsed sobbing on the beach after the 2008 protest where the groups clashed with the fishermen who used a long wooden pole to push them away in the water.
