Mr. Adewale Omole, a bricklayer, has abandoned his wife and her newly born triplets in the hospital for yet-to-be-identified reasons.
Omole's wife, Abosede, who had two kids before the latest development, accused her husband of running away from their matrimonial home in Lagos as soon as it was discovered through scanning that she was
carrying triplets.
Speaking with Sunday Trust in her hospital bed, Abosede, who was rushed to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) with the triplets for urgent medical attention, having delivered the babies at the Sabbath Mission Church, Ado-Ekiti on Friday, January 31, said that her husband abandoned her and the kids and had not shown up since then.

The mother of triplets, who struggled to fight back tears, recalled that she began to notice some strange behaviour in her bricklayer husband soon after they went for scan.

According to her, the unusual behaviour of her husband, which continued unabated, compelled her to relocate to the spiritual home, where she felt she could have spiritual succour and financial assistance to guarantee safe delivery.

But when complications arose after delivery at the spiritual home, medical officers in-charge were forced to rush her and the babies to EKSUTH for proper medication.

She lamented that since the sudden disappearance of her husband, life has not been the same for her and her children as they now find it difficult to survive.

She appealed to the state government, corporate bodies and individuals to urgently come to her aid so that she and the kids would not die prematurely.

The matron in-charge of maternity at EKSUTH, Mrs. Adenike Oluyide, who spoke on behalf of the acting Chief Medical Director, pleaded for assistance for the patients, saying that one of the triplets is currently battling with life at the special baby care unit of the hospital.
It was gathered that the woman and her babies are still being kept because of their inability to settle hospital bills.
