Pius earns Super Eagles call

FC Taraba goalkeeper Ibrahim Pius has earned a call-up to train with Nigeria ahead of the 2014 African Nations Championship.The shot-stopper joined the newly-promoted Nigerian Premier League side from Enugu Rangers at the end of the recently concluded campaign, and will now join up with the national team as they prepare for next year's South Africa showpiece.
Pius will compete with Chigozie Agbim, Daniel Akpeyi and Dele Alampasu for the number one jersey in the
Super Eagles setup, with a friendly match against NPL champions Kano Pillars next up for the side on Friday.

Stephen Keshi's men have already played three practice games, winning all of those after seeing off newly promoted Nigeria National League side Prisons FC 4-1, beating Niger Tornadoes 2-0 before most recently dispatching of Plateau United by the same score line.
