Nigeria's Golden Eaglets coach, Manu Garba has said he has a winning strategy to unsettle the Iranians in Tuesday's Under-17 Fifa World Cup round of 16 matches at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.
Garba said the knockout encounter offers the Nigerian youngsters the opportunity to continue their excellent form in
the biennial football showpiece.
"We would ensure that we win this game within the allotted time and we're looking at the possibility of not allowing the game to be dragged unto penalty shootouts.
"Yes, I agree that Iran have been making progress since they started but they won't progress beyond the second round at the expense of Nigeria on Tuesday," Garba said.
Though hopeful to achieve victory within the allotted time, Garba said they are perfecting penalty kicks in case the match stretches to penalties.
It would be recalled that penalty shootouts cost the team the CAN Under-17 title when they lost 5-4 to the Ivory Coast after pulsating 1-1 draw.
"Against Iran there won't be any margin for error and we want you to pay proper attention to everything we've done and would do for this match," Garba said to the players.
Garba said he is not under pressure as he believes destiny has something positive for Nigeria to win their fourth title on an Asian soil.
"All Nigeria's previous victories in 1985, 1993 and 2007 were all in Asia and we're here again in Asia in 2013 and I think history favours us to win this trophy.
"But we're not talking about winning the trophy now rather we're talking about Iran and Insha Allah we shall win our match against Iran," Garba summed up before going for a photo-shoot with his Iranian counterpart, Ali Doustimehr.
