The emergence of Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the new Emir of Kano was political and traditional, sources have told OluFamous.Com.
The PDP was wishing that the governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso
should pick any of the other contenders for the throne but certainly not
Sanusi. The APC wished for Sanusi.

He was born on July 31, 1961 in Kano, northern Nigeria. He obtained
Bachelors’ degrees in Economics first from Ahmadu Bello University, and
Islamic Law later from the International University of Africa, Khartoum.
In fact, PDP was so much in a hurry to see that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi,
the former CBN Governor, does not by any chance become the Emir of Kano
that they rushed to the media to congratulate a wrong Emir.
Funny enough, PDP has withdrawn the congratulatory message but they are
yet to congratulate the REAL Emir after over 12 hours of Sanusi's
emergence as the 57th Emir of Kano. This is enmity taken too far.
