"American Idol" judge
and music icon Jennifer Lopez has called it quits with her boyfriend of
two and a half years, her back-up dancer Casper Smart, reports TMZ.
A source tells the site that J-Lo and Smart actually split a couple
months ago but have been keeping it quiet. Smart is now in the process
of moving out.Us Weekly has a source saying much the same thing and adding that the split is not contentious, just that the relationship could not withstand long distance. "It has actually been an amicable process that started a few months ago," says the source "It wasn't an easy decision, but they decided to stay friends ... Their relationship couldn't work with the distance. He started trying to establish his own life and career, and she is so focused on hers, and they just couldn't be all about each other anymore."
There had been rumors recently that Smart was cheating on Lopez with a transgender model, but both TMZ and Us Weekly's sources say that is absolutely not true and that J-Lo and Smart simply grew apart.
