Lekki Robbery: Gov. Fashola defends statement, calls out Reuben Abati

Governor Babatunde Fashola has defended his comments where he blamed the success of the Lekki Robbery incident on March 12th on the visit of President Jonathan in Lagos on that day. Below is a statement he released explaining what he meant. He also called out presidential media aide, Reuben Abati who had earlier described Governor Fashola's reasoning as totally irresponsible.

Senators In Secret Meeting To Stop Obanikoro

Never again, we can't have a man who lacks maturity like Musiliu Obanikoro as minister. That is the position of most APC lawmakers, Senators in particular, during their secret meeting to stop him.

The Senate had a rowdy executive session for about two hours on Wednesday as a result of attempt by Senate President David Mark to convince them to give Obanikoro an easy passage, in accordance to the tradition of the senate in the screening of former senators nominated for appointment as ministers.
A source said, “The Senate President pleaded with us to respect the tradition of the senate by allowing Obanikoro and two other former senators, who would be appearing before us for screening to just take a bow and leave.

AIT now ready to counter sue Tinubu for N100billion


Bola Tinubu's media office released a statement on Monday saying they are set to sue Daar Communications, owners of AIT for what he said was a defamatory content of a documentary aired on Sunday about him on their station. Tinubu asked the TV station to retract the documentary, issue a letter of apology and demanded N20billion as cost of damage done to his reputation.
