Nigeria's Boko Haram 'uses child soldiers'

Human Rights watch says some of the fighters for the Nigerian armed group are as young as 12-years-old.

Human Rights Watch has accused Nigerian armed group Boko Haram of abducting scores of women and girls and of using children as young as 12 in its combat operations.
In a statement  published on its website on Friday, the New York-based group also accused the Nigerian government of failing to account for hundreds of men and boys rounded up during the armed group's

NAFDAC closes 54 sachet water factories in Niger

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) on Thursday said that the agency had sealed 54 table water producing factories in the state.
The NAFDAC Coordinator in Niger, Mr Dadi Mantum, said this at news conference in Minna
He said that the 54 sachet water factories were closed in Suleja and Minna for allegedly contravening the agency’s regulations.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.6 struck a town Thursday in southern Iran, killing seven people while causing no damage at the country's only nuclear power plant, state television reported.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the temblor struck some 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) northeast of Borazjan. It hit some 60 kilometers (38 miles) north of the Bushehr nuclear power plant, which is near the port city of the same name.
