How sex can make you smarter: Scientists say it encourages the growth of brain cells and improves long-term memory

  • Study found rats developed a greater number of brain cells after mating
  • This increase in neurons can restore cognitive function, such as memory
  • After sexual activity was stopped, improvements in brain power were lost
  • A separate study suggests having sex can counteract the effects of stress
  • It gives night classes a whole new meaning.

The short and turbulent life of Coinye, the digital cryptocurrency named after rapper Kanye West, has come to an end.
The virtual currency, which launched earlier this month under the name Coinye West, has closed up shop, apparently as a result of legal pressure from the vainglorious rapper.
"We're really not sure how Kanye is gonna react to this," Coinye's creators said at the time of its launch. "We hope he loves it, but if he doesn't, he really isn't someone we want to piss off."
Indeed. Mr. Kim Kardashian's lawyers reportedly came calling not long after word of his namesake currency went public, serving Coinye's developers with a cease-and-desist letter that accused them of unlawfully appropriating West's name and likeness.

Kanye West is being investigated by police for misdemeanor assault after an incident which took place yesterday (January 13).

The rapper allegedly attacked an 18-year-old man in Los Angeles, after the teen allegedly said to West's partner Kim Kardashian "Fuck you, bitch" and then called her a "n***er lover", writes the Hollywood Reporter.

The incident happened in a chiropractor's office in Beverly Hills after the teenager held open a door for Kardashian and then used racial slurs towards the swarm of photographers following the socialite. When Kardashian asked him not to use racially offensive language he allegedly turned on her, leading Kardashian to call West on her phone. West then ran into the room and allegedly punched the man, states TMZ. The singer left the scene before the police arrived and is now being investigated by the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Meanwhile, West is due in court next week on a charge of misdemeanor battery as well as attempted grand theft after the rapper and a photographer fought at LAX airport in September 2013.
