2 Military Helicopters Incapacitated, 24 Insurgents Killed In Maiduguri Attack

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) said 24 insurgents died during an exchange of fire between security forces and suspected terrorists in the pre-dawn attack in Maiduguri.
This information is contained in a statement signed by Brig.-Gen. Chris Olukolade, the Director of Defence Information, in Abuja on Monday.

The Dangote Foundation yesterday began the distribution of N540 million to about 54,000 indigent residents of Borno State with the aim of reducing poverty in the troubled state which has been under the siege of Boko Haram insurgency for the last four years.
