Yaya Toure pips Mikel to BBC African Footballer of the Year Award

 
Ivory Coast and Manchester United FC of England midfielder, Yaya Toure has won the 2013 BBC African Footballer of the Year award.

30-year-old Toure who has been nominated for the award in the past four years beat John Mikel Obi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Victor Moses and Jonathan Pitroipa to this year's crown.

A 50-year-old man, Tajudeen Omole, has been arraigned before an Osogbo chief magistrate’s court for allegedly having carnal knowledge of a 12-year-old girl.
The accused person was said to have committed the offence on November 27, 2013 at 1, Ikolaba, Osogbo, the capital of OsunState.
It was reliably gathered that the accused went to the house of the victim to ask after her sister who he claimed was his friend.
