Johannesburg press dub Rihanna's show a rip-off

I'm sure most of you are more interested in the 'Abused, killed, dumped; do you know this boy?' story but we are talking about Rihanna here...:-) So she made history at her concert in Johannesburg South Africa last Sunday October 13th by becoming the youngest person ever to sell out the 67 thousand seat FNB Stadium, but the local news dubbed her show a rip off...

From The Star SA
Sunday night’s Rihanna concert has left some fans complaining of lip-synching and a below-par performance. She was trending on Twitter yesterday morning after her performance at the FNB Stadium on Sunday night, with a mix of adoring messages and not-so-glowing reviews.
The latter included allegations that Rihanna was miming some of her songs, did not do a single costume change, had not performed some of her biggest hits and lacked vitality. “It’s obvious, you know when someone is lip-synching – I was in the Golden Circle, I could see it,” said Sharon Seretlo, a photographer at The Star.

How Aviation Minister forced aviation agency to spend $1.6m on two armored cars for her

This is an exclusive report from Saharareporters.com with documents to back their claim. Check on it below
SaharaReporters has obtained documents further exposing the depth of corruption and mismanagement of public funds at Nigeria’s Ministry of Aviation headed by Stella Oduah. One of the documents details how Ms. Oduah compelled the cash-strapped Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to purchase two armored BMW cars for the minister. NCAA is the agency charged with ensuring the airworthiness of commercial planes flying within Nigeria’s airspace. Two officials of the agency told SaharaReporters that the NCAA did not have enough funds to upgrade equipment, send staff for critical training, and hire enough qualified staff. “Yet, all the minister is concerned about is to have two exotic BMW cars from the little money we have for operations,” one of the sources said.

Nigeria's rainy season often brings violent storms that can cause disasters
Kidnapping for ransom is rife in southern Nigeria

A Nigerian woman faked her own kidnapping to extort a $1,200 ransom from her husband, police said on Tuesday, in a region of the west African nation plagued by abductions.

Authorities arrested the woman and her accomplice, a motorcycle taxi man who helped her stage it, after tracing the bank account given for her husband's payment of 200,000 naira ($1,200) to the taxi man himself.

Nearly 1 000 people, mostly suspected Islamist militants, died in Nigerian prisons in the first half of this year, Amnesty International said on Tuesday.
Amnesty said some of the 950 victims were suspected to have been executed but many died because of the harsh, overcrowded conditions of the prisons.
Some starved to death. Others died after being shot or badly beaten then getting no medical attention.
"The evidence we've gathered suggests that hundreds of people died in military custody in 2013 alone. This is a staggeringly high figure that requires urgent action by the Nigerian government," Lucy Freeman, Amnesty International's deputy Africa director, said in a statement.
