Former Pop Idol runner up Gareth Gates has revealed he regrets lying about sleeping with glamour model Katie Price.
The spikey-haired singer told The Sun:“I don’t regret sleeping with Jordan. It was an amazing time. I wish I hadn’t lied about it though.”

"I have never spoken about my personal relationships with anyone and had no intention of doing so until now,” double G said.
“ At the end of Pop Idol I did have a brief relationship with Jordan. I was 17 years old...I was pursued by her. I was bemused as to why she went to the press as I see relationships as private."

The singer went on to say: "I shouldn't have denied it, but I did. I was naive. But I have learnt a lot from this experience."
Glamour model Katie told the world she'd slept with then 17-year-old Gareth back in 2002, and the up-and-coming pop star was quick to deny it.

But after mounting pressure, Gareth had to admit that he had bedded the busty babe.

Shortly after he married Suzanne Mole and had a daughter, Missy. They split after three years together and the Dancing on Ice star is now seeing his west-end co-star Faye Brooks.
