She’s a global superstar with stunning looks and a multi-million dollar fortune but Jennifer Lopez still has to put up with well-meaning friends meddling in her love life. J.Lo has hardly struggled for dates since she finalised her divorce from Marc Anthony in June. Her relationship with dancer Casper Smart, 27, was short-lived as it emerged he had been swapping flirty text messages with transsexual model Sofie Vissa, 23.
But the diva soon bounced back by stepping out with Dancing with the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy and choreographer JR Taylor. Despite this J.Lo has revealed that her friends are determined to find her a new man so she can settle down again. She says: “My friends are constantly trying to set me up but I’m just not there right now. It’s not something that’s a priority. I have gone from relationship to relationship but, at the end of the day, I am not ashamed of the path I have taken or the lessons I have learned. “I am who I am and I am human. “I do what feels right in the moment. And right now it feels good to just be on my own and have some ‘I love Jennifer’ time, which I haven’t done a lot in my life. “I am just spending time with myself and my kids. I still believe in love, of course, but the thing you think about most is who is good enough to come into the life of me and the kids?” Nowadays free time and a family trip are a luxury for J.Lo as she juggles movies, albums, a world tour and writing a book with charity work and caring for her children. Like her love life, her film career may have been more miss than hit recently but she isn’t giving up and has just completed work on the thriller The Boy Next Door, which is due for release next year. In the meantime she will continue doing things her way – just as she did when she took her mother, cousins and children with her on her world tour. “I just try to do things that feel right to me,” she says. “I don’t try to follow or look at what anybody else is doing.
