Joey Essex and Amy Willerton romance: A story of true jungle love in pictures

It started with a parachute jump, and now they're eating chicken McNuggets. We look back over Joey and Amy's jungle romance...

We should have known they were going to fall in love when we first saw their matching smiles...

As hard as they tried, they just couldn't hide their sexual tension when they were playing happy campers in the jungle (and we, and their fellow celeb adventurers just didn't know where to look).
And finally, after weeks of speculation, TOWIE man Joey Essex and Miss Universe Amy Willerton have admitted they are dating .
The handsome pair, who left the jungle on Friday in a shock double eviction, were spotted leaving the I'm a Celeb wrap party arm-in-arm on Monday night, after spending the day in the pool with Joey's dad (and everyone knows that quality bikini-clad pool romantical love).

So in celebration of their new romance, we typing-beings at 3AM have decided to take you back over Jomy's (yes, we made that up) romance...

It all began in a land far, far away, when Amy, Joey, and a whole host of other celebrities threw themselves out of a plane and into the middle of the Australian Bush.
It was there, among the snakes, the spiders, and the numerous ITV cameras that Joey and Amy first clasped eyes on one another.
The beautiful pair and their matching smiles clicked instantly, and a beautiful friendship blossomed.
Over the next few days, we watched as Joey became a real alpha-male and left his camp to fight for food in the trials.

With each new trial came new support from loving Amy, who spent her free time hugging Joey, and flaunting her incredible body in front of him (you know, to cheer him up a bit).
Soon she was teaching him to tell the time using sticks and dirt (a sign of true love), and massaging him when he came back from his trials.
He repayed the favour by helping her do up her bikinis.
In just a week the pretty pair were inseparable, with Joey comforting Amy when she got all upset about not being able to compete, and when the other girls decided to attack her for being a model.

From then on, we watched as Amy and Joey sunbathed together, showered together, and took on challenges together EVERY second of EVERY day.
And when the pair of them were put against each other for eviction, they both looked distraught.
But then, in a strange twist of fate, both the youngsters were given the boot, and they ran across the bridge and cuddled one another in a shower of glitter.

The pair then headed back to their hotel and put their gladrags on for a room service feast of pizza and chips.

After that, the pair went Instagram and Twitter mad, sharing loved up snaps of themselves sunbathing and flashing their matching brilliant white nashers at every opportunity.
Then, on Monday night, the pair were snapped returning to their hotel arm-in-arm, and soon after they admitted they were dating.

When quizzed about their romance, Joey remarked: "Our first date was amazing."

And asked if the two of them were an item, he said, "yes" and added: "I'm very happy. Look at her. She's beautiful."

Amy said: "We've had a lovely night together. The party was amazing. They know how to have a good time here."

She added with a laugh: "Mind you, we have been drinking since 5am."

The couple stopped off at McDonald's on their way home from the do and arrived at the Versace at 1am – spending the entire weekend together.

Miss Universe GB Amy said: "We had 20 McNuggets, two Big Macs, fries, apple pies… the works. It was lovely."

Wow Joey. You sure know how to treat a lady.

And now, the IAC couple are even planning to spend Christmas day together.

We wonder if they'll last as long as their romantical jungle predecessors, Katie Price and Peter Andre, did?
