William completed a £30million move to Chelsea in the closing stages of the summer transfer window, just hours after agreeing to join their London rivals Tottenham.
But the 25-year-old might be regretting his decision, after admitting he might not play much due to the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Juan Mata, Andre Schurrle and Kevin De Bruyne in the squad.
My first goal is to become a regular starter with Chelsea, but it is difficult,’ said William.
‘I will have to play and prove I deserve that spot, but I know my spot is not secure here. I will have to do my best and trust the manager and the fans.
‘I just wanted to play for Chelsea, even more so now with Jose Mourinho as manager, he is the best at what he does.’
William is expected to begin his Chelsea career as a bench player, but will be given his chance during the cup competitions.
