Samuel Eto'o reveals he used to HATE Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho
SAMUEL ETO'O has revealed his relationship with Jose Mourinho was so
bad he vowed never to play under the Portuguese manager - but Chelsea
captain John Terry is happy the striker changed his mind.
Eto'o is expected to make his Chelsea debut tomorrow against Everton, after moving to Stamford Bridge on a one-year deal from Anzhi Makhachkala.
But
the Cameroon hitman has admitted he used to loathe Mourinho, the man
who helped him win the treble in Italy and now brought him to west
London.
"Before I played with him at Inter, our relationship was tense," said Eto'o.
Chelsea captain John Terry is certainly one man who is glad Eto'o and
Mourinho patched up their differences - saying is is pleased to be
finally playing alongside the former Barcelona marksman than against
him.
"I said to him 'thank God you're here' because I've had so many battles against him," said Terry.
"He's such a threat, he's obviously a few years older but he still looks very sharp and hungry.
"He's got an eye for goal and I think he'll be a good addition, he was welcomed straight into the squad."
However, Terry suspects that Eto'o and Willian, who also left Anzhi for
the Blues at the end of the transfer window, may need more time to
adjust from the Russian league.
"Eto'o has looked really sharp in training so far, and so has Willian," Terry added.
"You speak to them and they talk about how the intensity of their training (in Russia) is a lot different to how it is here.
"So for sure it will take them a few weeks to get their full fitness, but once they do they'll both look very good."
