Beyoncé reportedly had a long talk with Jay Z before her sister's wedding.
The Halo singer's sister Solange Knowles tied the knot with Alan Ferguson on 16 November in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The 28-year-old singer's strained relationship with her brother-in-law became public in May, after footage emerged of Solange physically attacking the rapper in an elevator following the Met Gala.
It was later reported that Jay Z's closeness with designer Rachel Roy allegedly provoked Solange to fly into a rage.
"Jay Z was on his best behaviour and stuck by Beyoncé's side, and their daughter Blue Ivy was there, too. Beyoncé had a big talk with Jay before the wedding and impressed on him how important it was that he do the right thing. He did, but it was a bit edgy between them and he wasn't relaxed," a source told Closer magazine.
"Beyoncé was on good form. She wasn't in really high spirits but she made a big effort. It wasn't easy bearing in mind how hard the past year has been for her. Jay did congratulate Solange and, although it was rather forced, it made Beyoncé happy."
"[Solange] talked about the deep trust between her and her new husband. It seems a little like she was scoring points at Jay's expense, and he looked very uncomfortable," the insider added.
In an interview with Lucky magazine, Solange opened up about the elevator fight with Jay Z.
"What's important is that my family and I are all good. What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that," she said.
Meanwhile, in October, Beyonce and her 44-year-old husband were reported to have renewed their marriage vows in Paris, France.
Adding on, the ultimate music power couple, who are already parents to two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy are keen to expand their family.
