A prayer for Stella Odua’s enemies

May the enemies of Stella Oduah live long to see what she would become in President Jones' cabinet! These people have no clue that god works in mysterious ways to cause plane crashes. They are blaming Stella for the prevalence of crashes under her watch as if a presidential jet has ever crashed.
Not getting the attention they crave, they have
resolved to call for her sack. What more, the loudest wailers are not from the geographical area she 'represents' in chopperment. Ironically, these are the same people who are blaming President Jones for slacking in replacing the 'rebellious ministers' recently sacked with fresh air-hungry ones.
The grumblers want to further deplete the cabinet of one whose portfolio and track record of service is germane to national relevance especially as a member of the UN Security Council. The wicked complainers are of a different gender that makes their motives suspect. Under the minister's watch thus far, no presidential plane has made an air return. As long as that status quo is maintained, nobody should tell a principal to sack a loyal servant. The other day, Lame Pat was in Asia increasing her collection of doctoral degrees making her the most decorated first wife in recent history. As long as Oga, Madam and the first children (sorry is it childs) can fly in peace, the rest of Naija should stop travelling. Some people want the entire cabinet sacked because they are a failure all round. They are entitled to their miserable opinions.
The attitude of government to issues of corruption or Fresh Air is to let it hang until there's a fresh scandal to heal the amnesia. Except for the presence of a local Edward Snowden in the aviation ministry who stoked the fire. According to Captain Fola Akinkuotu, the NCAA director-general, this local Snowden crept broke into the watertight vaults of the cesspit of Fresh Air and stole an official secret by which two whopping bulletproof cars were bought for Madam and Naija's foreign guest for only N225 million. The envy of Tokunbo-riding peers over the decision to purchase tear-rubber cars for a serving minister is understandable. What is annoying is their claim that her life is not in danger as if flying debris from crashing planes is not a missile. The wicked want to wait until Madam Stella is in a casket before she protects herself? No thank you, prevention is better than cure.
As Zebrudaya would say, to be forewarned is to be fore-army. With our country overburdened by Fresh-Air seeking foreigners, whose lives are more precious than dispensable Naija air passengers, these unpatriotic elements want an assassination first before a decision is made to prevent any of them who may want to invest in air wastage. Abeg, see me see goodness o. If this is not jealousy, excuse my French. How about this, President Jones would send Madam Stella away with a generous severance pay if the Irrational Assembly sacks F. Lawan.
Now something kind must be said for Captain Akinkuotu's logic on this issue. The fact that one similar armoured BMW is priced at N38 million is not an issue. The NCAA cars have a different serial and chassis number and should cost six times more. Besides, how does our great party take care of its supporters if vehicles are sold without a small margin of profit? Those who publicly say that vehicles cost less should henceforth expect no government patronage. Thank heavens for a well-managed economy; Nissan is about to run over all other brand of vehicles, including Peugeot Automobile Plant that is located in enemy and opposition territory. Those who call Fresh Air by opposition lingo – corruption – must be as alienated from its proceeds as Yushau Shuaib is from NEMA headquarters.
We all know how dangerous it is to have an Edward Snowden in government agencies. Even the powerful Barack Obama couldn't cope with one. A man who exposes the source of Fresh Air must not be allowed to roam the streets of our country freely spreading the aerosol of whistle blowing. Nor should they continue to work for government. Above all, they should never be allowed to take the NADECO route to Cotonou. When we find them, we should hang them by the extremities close to Captain Akinkuotu's home so that he can sleep in peace. For now, security should be on a redder alert for their identification and arrest than Imam Shekau, armed robbers or kidnappers.

Re: War against Bensouda
I think The ICC was established as a stretch of Western imperialism on the "third world" and that African leaders only realised this lately. There are Western leaders who are worse war criminals than African leaders -former American president Bill Clinton for bombing a pharmaceutical company in Sudan suspected of being a nuclear site; G. W. Bush and Tony Blair allegedly murdered one million Iraqis on fabricated intelligence regarding WMDs are not even considered culpable.
The unending massacre of Palestinians by Israeli forces; the continued annihilation of Chechens by imperial Russia; the unprovoked invasion of Libya and murdering of her president are considered acts of redemption/emancipation from the hands of a "dictator". The overthrow of a democratically elected government in Egypt and murder of peaceful demonstrators against the callous military coup has Western backing; the ICC sees the systematic persecution of Tibetans by China as no war crime.
While I support the ICC's work in Africa I am equally of the strong opinion that the court is selective in the execution of its mandate. African leaders are right in their resolve to tackle the ICC's double standards.
