Others include Col. Augustine Akobundu retd. (Abia); Mr. Fidelis Nwankwo (Ebonyi); Mr. Kenneth Kobani (Rivers) and Senator Joel Ikenya (Taraba). No date has been fixed for the Senate screening of the nominees.

Incredible pics captures moment woman is rescued from sinking car

A woman is extremely lucky to be alive after her car drove off a rock wall of a car park and into a harbour and began sinking. The petrified woman was squashed up against the rear window as the front end of the car was submerging in the Waitemata Harbour in Auckland at 3pm on Tuesday. 

Fortunately witnesses called emergency services as quick-thinking policemen arrived and sprung straight into action by jumping into the water to save her, one attempting to break the glass with a baton, before the second officer broke the glass with a rock pulled from the water. The man pictured above, 54 year old Tilfert Vaughn, was arrested this past Sunday Feb. 8th after breaking into the Phoenix home of a woman he’d seen at a bar and raped her at knifepoint while her boyfriend lay next to her 'frozen in fear,” according to a report by AZ Central

Police said the 27-year-old-woman woke up about 4 a.m. on Nov. 5 in her apartment near Glendale and 27th avenues when she noticed the bathroom light was on. After she asked her friend who was in there, reports show, the bathroom light shut off.

Police said the woman got out of bed and noticed someone behind the bathroom door, and when she opened the door further, she saw 54-year-old Tilfert D. Vaughn standing naked and holding a large serrated break knife, according to court records.

Security operatives surround APC campaign spokesman’s residence

A combined team of security operatives have surrounded the residence of the Director of Media of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organization,  Mallam Garba Shehu.

The operatives who were armed to the teeth, took positions around ‎the house located at area 11, Garki Abuja, as early as 5:35am on Thursday morning.

One of Shehu’s colleagues  at the Atiku Media 0ffice, who pleaded anonymity, called The PUNCH at about 6am.

He said, “Security men have surrounded the residence of our director, Mallam Garba Shehu in Area 11. They came in several vehicles. I cannot make out which of the security services because it is still dark here.

“None of them has said anything about why they are laying siege at his house.”

FG Warns Diplomats Against Interference In Internal Affairs

American rapper/actor 50 Cent has claimed that Beck deserved to win the Album of the Year award at the 2015 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
In an interview with People, the 39-year-old Candy Shop hitmaker, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was asked whether he felt Kanye West was right for saying Beyoncé should have won, to which the hip-hop star said that Beck was the more deserving recipient of the award.
"[Beck] produced [his] record, wrote the record, there's eleven producers on Beyoncé's album. Kanye being a producer and a writer should see that," he said.

Captured Jordanian pilot burnt alive in a cage by ISIS

The terrorists released a video today showing the brutal murder of Lieutenant Moaz al-Kasasbeh. He was burnt alive while locked in a cage. The Jordanian military believe he was killed on Jan. 3rd.

In the footage titled 'Healing the Believers Chest', the militants pour petrol on Moaz, who's wearing an orange jumpsuit, and set him alight. He was burnt alive within minutes.

TransAsia plane crashes in Taiwan river - 15 killed, 30 missing

Not again! A TransAsia airways plane carrying 53 passengers and five crew crashed into a shallow river this morning in Taiwan, killing at least 12 people. 16 people have been rescued alive and about 30 are missing.

The crash was caught on the dashcam of a car driving through the bride. It shows the plane clipping a bridge shortly after take-off this morning from Taipei's Sungshan Airport and crashing into the Keelung river.

The plane's wings also hit a taxi on the freeway, seriously injuring the driver. Rescue workers are currently at the scene and have been able to pull people alive from the wreckage. R Kelly beat up and urinated on for refusing to perform, and there might be a video

According to reports, R. Kelly was 'allegedly' kidnapped, beaten up and urinated on by a group of goons at Gulf Port MS over the weekend for collecting about $50k to sing at a club in Gulfport and then refusing to perform. The event organisers tried to persuade him but when he refused, thugs attacked both R.Kelly and his security and even stole his chain.
